  my wife and i met with 3 elders for a "judicial hearing".. our crime: simply put, was talking.

  i showed a friend the un website where the wts was listed as an ngo which then led to a 2 hour discussion of various doubts that we both have had.

  my wife also showed a friend the un thing but also discussed with her a first hand account of a pedophile cover-up that we knew about in our former congregation.

  #1 - original sin: supposedly all this stuff is going on because adam/eve "ate the fruit" (type of fruit still under question).

  because of this, god let billions & billions of people, "his children", suffer imperfection, pestilence, plague, wars,death, etc.

  & let his "true followers" throughout bible history be persecuted because of this "original sin".

  I don't take any offense speak as frankly as you like I don't think I will feel bad.
  I disagree with you though, and don't feel it is a cop out, I think hard and often about these subjects and will continue to think and think about these things.
  I may one day have the answers and then again I may never have them.
  I just feel many are jumping to hastily to conclusions that may take alot more time to decide.

  i think we need to give the un and wtbs thing 5 years and beyond to see the full impact.. i also think we need to give the pedophile issue 3 years before we see the full impact.. .

  If they can reprove or disfellowship you for just showing someone the UN website, what do you think they should do for someone who joins it as a NGO and prints supportive information about the UN in their magazines?
